It appears that garbage collectors may be lending a hand in the quest for energy independence. That’s right, you heard me. Those gasses are the emissions after the garbage or whatever is being used is heated to a downright HOT 1900F. The company has projected production of over one hundred million gallons per year by 2011.

I say “kudos” to Coskata, some of the pioneering problem solving and creativity that made America great – it's about time someone figured out a better fate for some of the two hundred and fifty one million tons of waste that Americans generate per year That's more than 4.6 pounds every day from each of us. Just think if much of that waste could now be turned into usable fuel ... with all the waste that our nation produces we could truly be the heroes of the world after all! It certainly fits into another topic that I have been beating the drum for in previous articles which is conservation of energy. In other words… harnessing the energy of people’s feet dancing on a dance floor and such and converting it into renewable energy. It is certainly wise if they can take trash and turn it into fuel.
